Dust off your DVDs: Movies that were filmed on the French Riviera

It’s Autumn and you have the right to curl up in oversized knits, drink chocolat chaud Viennois, buy expensive candles and indulge in a movie marathon!

With the release of Woody Allen’s jazzy period piece “Magic in the Moonlight,” French Rivierians can coo over familiar places used to illustrate the late 1920s Côte d’Azur playground of American socialites. How fun is it to recognise a bar, a seaside location or a Belle Epoque villa filmed in your own backyard?!

From ‘To Catch a Thief’ to ‘Ocean’s Twelve’, here’s a list of flicks that were filmed in the region, so that you can shout, “I was sunbathing right there!” in between mouthfuls of popcorn.
